Cape Peninsula & Penguins

Take a road trip along the scenic Cape Peninsula to Cape Point - the most South Western point of Africa. Your scenic drive around to the Cape of Good Hope, will see you falling in love with this magical area. John of Portugal named the area the Cape of Good Hope because he saw in the cape the means to open a sea route to India and the Eastern countries.

Tick off the iconic Muizenberg beach, the heart of South African surfing, for an instagram shot of the colourful beach houses. Meander along the cliff face on Chapman’s Peak Drive, hang out with the African Penguin on Boulders Beach as an optional extra activity at R160, and take a light hike around Cape Point. Keep an eye out for African wildlife such as eland, ostriches and baboons.

This was a great tour - the highlights for us were finding penguins along the beach at the penguin colony at Boulders Beach (where he showed us a non- touristy area to view them and walk next to them!) and the drive along Chapman's Peak.

This was a very laid-back, fun tour. We especially liked that it was a small group tour-- I think there we just 7 of us. So much better than the massive tour buses- and affordable too!

Guide was really knowledgeable and provided such great service. He went out of his way to make sure we were all comfortable and able to experience everything by stopping and buying ponchos and umbrellas for everyone so we could search for the penguins in the rain! So kind! It was a very memorable experience and we'd recommend this tour as a great way to see and learn about South Africa!
